Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-05-04
These terms govern your use of Logace. They are the contract between you and us, written in plain English. By creating an account or paying for a subscription you accept them.
Who you’re contracting with
Logace is operated by an Australian-domiciled sole trader from New South Wales, Australia. References to “we”, “us”, and “Logace” below mean that operator.
What Logace is
Logace is a paid reference for the schema shape of Azure diagnostic logs. It tells you which resource types emit which categories, which categories route into which Log Analytics tables, and what columns each table has. It is not a log analyser, a query tool, or anything that reads your own logs.
Logace's data is derived from the public Microsoft Learn documentation, refreshed weekly. We do our best to keep it accurate, but Microsoft can change the documentation at any time, and we are not the authoritative source.
Your account
- You sign in with Microsoft, Google, or GitHub. Your account exists from your first successful sign-in.
- One account per natural person. Don’t share an account, sell access to one, or use one to circumvent the free-tier limits.
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, mirror, or rehost the Logace catalogue at scale. The free tier is generous — if you want every column, the paid plan is $24/year.
- Bypass or attempt to bypass the rate limits, quota, or free-tier gating.
- Probe the service for vulnerabilities without our prior written agreement. Coordinated disclosure is welcome — email security@logace.dev.
- Use the service to violate the law or anyone else’s rights.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section. Where reasonable we will warn first; for clear or repeated abuse we may terminate immediately.
Subscription, billing, and cancellation
- Plans. The free plan gives you the full catalogue plus full columns on three named resource types. The Solo plan unlocks columns on every resource type and every Log Analytics table.
- Price and cadence. The Solo plan is $24 per year, charged in United States dollars, on annual recurring billing. Stripe processes the payment.
- Auto-renewal. Solo subscriptions auto-renew on the anniversary of your first payment unless you cancel before that date. Stripe sends a renewal-notice email in advance.
- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the Stripe customer portal linked in your account page. Cancelling does not refund the current period; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then the account drops back to the free plan.
- Failed payment. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries on its standard schedule. If recovery fails, your plan downgrades to free after a 14-day grace window. Your data remains intact and your access can be restored by paying.
- Price changes. If we raise the published price for new customers, your existing subscription stays at the price you signed up at for as long as it auto-renews without lapsing.
- Tax. Stripe Tax handles VAT, GST, sales tax, and equivalent indirect taxes where they apply. Any applicable tax is shown at checkout and on your invoice.
Refund policy
If Logace doesn’t help you in the first 14 days of a new paid subscription, email billing@logace.dev from the address on your account and we will refund the full $24, no questions asked. After 14 days we treat the subscription as a cancel-anytime arrangement — you can cancel future renewals from the Stripe portal, but the current period is not refunded.
Where mandatory consumer-protection laws give you stronger refund rights than this policy (including the Australian Consumer Law and equivalent rules in the UK and EU), nothing in these terms cuts those rights down.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee a specific uptime percentage. Maintenance, third-party outages (Microsoft Azure, Stripe, OAuth providers), and force-majeure events can cause interruptions. Where the service is materially unavailable to you for an extended period, contact billing@logace.dev and we will work out a fair credit or refund.
Intellectual property
- Logace product. The Logace name, logo, website code, application code, and overall presentation of the service belong to us. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service for yourself or your employer’s internal engineering work; it does not license you to copy the product.
- Underlying data. The Azure schema data is sourced from Microsoft’s public documentation and belongs to Microsoft. Logace adds structure, classification, and presentation on top of it.
- Your favourites. The list of resources, tables, and categories you star is your data. We don’t claim any ownership of it.
Disclaimer
Logace is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that the catalogue is complete, error-free, or current with the latest Microsoft documentation, and we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. The catalogue is a reference, not engineering advice. Verify anything you base a production decision on against Microsoft’s authoritative documentation and your own observations.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you under or in connection with these terms in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in that period (which is at most $24).
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, even if we knew the damages were possible.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability under non-excludable consumer-protection guarantees (the Australian Consumer Law, UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, and equivalent rules elsewhere).
Termination
You can stop using Logace and delete your account at any time from your account page. We can suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms; on termination for cause we may withhold pro-rata refunds. On termination for any reason your right to use the service ends.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales. If you are a consumer in your jurisdiction, the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence still apply.
Changes to these terms
We update these terms when the service or the legal context changes. Material changes are notified by email to the address on your account at least 14 days before they take effect; if you don’t agree, cancel before the effective date and the change won’t apply to you. Non-material edits (typos, clarifications) are not separately notified.
